We currently have a number of quirky retro glasses and decanters in our stall, they include some wonderful French and Italian decanters and glass sets, some famous Maxwell William Sherry glasses and a wonderful retro wire glass holder with horse and buggy glasses.

A very diverse weekend of markets and sales. I found a great example of a Retro Hula girl in great working order, a vintage Humphrey Bear also in great condition, a collection of rock LPs and Charles and Di Wedding souviner magazines.
I also just love the vintage folding camp chairs, some cigarette tins from the 40's and a really great LP carry case that I haven't seen before.

Amazing day around the markets yesterday. It's rare to find a complete set of Nally canisters in perfect condition but when you also find a Nally Cake container and spice canister it has to be a good day. Other finds included two white metal plant holders in great condition. They would look fantastic on a retro front porch and we can't forget the two sweet Tupperware animals.

I found this little treasure a few months ago and have been in a bit of a quandary. I really love the shape of the carry tray, it reminds me of a little vintage caravan and the cups and saucers are in great condition. In other words I've been having an argument with myself, do I keep, do I sell, do I keep, do I sell.
Well, I have decided to sell. It's on it's way to Waverley Antique Bazaar tomorrow.

Vintage Tea Set with carry tray
A quick trip around the markets this week resulted in some wonderful wicker items including a picnic basket that is in amazing condition and a Morticia Addams style dolls chair. I also found a wonderful washing trolley that is also in great condition.
But for me, the best find was the plastic Proscon Hamper, my mother had the exact hamper in blue and I remember it was always an essential item for a trip to the beach when I was quite young.
All items will be heading to Waverley Antique Bazaar stall M20.

I love the look of vintage toys in a nursery or child's bedroom. For me, they just look nicer than the brightly coloured plastic creations owned by most children today.
I've recently started searching for old toys and have a selection for sale at the Waverley Antique bazaar. In stock now is a large collection of coloured wooden blocks, a number of souvenir dolls, a classic Tupperware shape ball and a collection of classic Enid Blyton books.

Another busy week out and about. This week I found a wonderful vintage suitcase. Made in NSW the lining is still in perfect condition and would be great to use or have as a display. This week also uncovered a lot of vintage Tupperware, ranging from a Tupperware Lunchbox complete with Sandwich container, through to pieces from the golden harvest range and one very old 1950's container from the Millionaire range and some wonderful cereal bowls.
All are on the way to Waverley Antique bazaar.

We have a few choice items heading to Waverley Antique Bazaar, stall M20 after a weekend of shopping. Among my favourites is a Vintage Leather Pouf, manufactured by Edrex Victoria. This is in great condition and would made a wonderful additional to a retro room. Other favourites include an large Italian Urn and platter with lettuce and tomato's, more Vintage Tupperware and an really unusual pot stand that would be great for cricket trophy's.

A glorious day in Melbourne unearthed some wonderful retro finds. The star performers included a 6 person retro coffee set with milk jug and sugar bowl, a wonderful retro tureen and a set of five Waratah Aluminium Spice containers. All will arrive at Stall 20 Waverley Antique Bazaar this weekend.

The retro coffee pot set is marked "Japan" and is in great condition with no chips or breaks

The spice containers are marked Waratah De-Luxe Genuine Aluminium. I have a set of 5 with labels for Cloves, Allspice, Cinnamon, Nutmeg and Ginger. They measure 11 cm high by 8 cm wide and are in great condition.

This is a great design for a Retro Tureen, it is not marked and has a small chip in the seat of the lid but is still really useable

If you are looking for something to collect, vintage salt and pepper shakers are a great option. They come in a wide range of different objects, colours and textures. They are still very affordable, easy to display and don't take up a lot of space.
I recently acquired over 250 sets of Vintage Salt and Pepper Shakers through a deceased estate. They are all wonderful pieces including some absolutely exquisite items from the 40s and 50s all the way through to the 60s and 70s . Needless to say I'll be featuring salt and pepper shakers in a few more blog posts. My task for this weekend was to choose the first 20 sets to head to Waverley Antique Bazaar. This was actually harder to do than it sounds as I'm starting to become quite attached to many of them. So if you are looking for something to collect - try vintage Salt and Pepper Shakers.
