Crazy Cats, Pots and Embrodiary

Well it was a very mixed lot of finds over that last week.  I have a set of 3 large green cats that are very reminiscent of a Picasso, some lovely garden pots and a nice black metal towel rack with some embroidery.  All in store at the bazaar M20

The beginnings of a Merivale Collection

I can still remember as a young girl standing in front of the House of Merivale and Mr John in Melbourne and wishing I could afford the lovely dresses and jackets on display.  My memories are from the early 90's and I remember a lot of black velvet and one of the most flamboyant shop window's in the city.

Recently I've started to collect Merivale and Mr John pieces, over time they will be sold but for now I just like knowing I finally own a part of this iconic design team.

Cookies, Tanuki and shots

You certainly never know what you will find on a weekend of garage sales or in this case church fetes.  Recently I came across a wonderful wooden cookie container which still has really vibrant print and some wonderful shot glasses with animals depicting the level of intoxication you will reach but the classic is the Japanese Racoon Dog Tanuki.  I have came across a few of these delightful critters, in true Japanese style this little critter has some very unusual proportions.  If you get what I mean.  All items are at the Bazaar M20
